As I think about this meeting, and several other NYC FFCHS meetings, I have attended; I realize that there is something terribly wrong. To sit around and tell our stories is fine. But, we also need action, now, or we will die victims.
Where is the camaraderie, why are we not rallying and protesting? Why aren’t we encouraging those of us that are afraid, to show themselves, and stand up to this evil activity? Perpetrators of this heinous evil are very powerful, and have unlimited resources. Even so, they cannot stand the light of day. Public awareness is their enemy and weakness. We must understand this, and use whatever means to get the word out. The UN Human Rights Day will be upon us. A letter to the UN is ok. In conjunction with the letter, we should have a rally in front of the UN. NYC is the hub of the world; we should be revealing our plight, in this great city, and for that matter, every city, now!
One fellow at the meeting was concerned about his employer finding out that he was a victim. A non-victim employer or co-worker might not understand our plight, and form a negative opinion of us. I understand this. But, I understand that this is an evil brutal attack on our humanity. We must come out of the closet and protest this evil activity. Having a lawsuit that is not in the courts, and needs funding, can’t be our only hope.
Let’s form a movement. Some of the concepts of the Civil Rights movement of the ‘60’s could be a model for us to follow.
A quote from Martin Luther King:

“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”
